Celebration of love: Allison & Kevin's wedding

This weekend my dear friends and I celebrated the next step in the beautiful union of our friends Kevin & Allison. It was such an honor to share this milestone with them. I can't believe I'm at that age where love becomes eternal for those around me. Just yesterday we were all silly kids in High School. The fact that we've all stayed friends over the years makes each milestone experience richer.

My table was so fun! Many of my old friends were seated with me and we had a blast building new memories, catching up and reminiscing on the old days.
How cute were the arrangements and settings?!

I wore a rare peach/vermillion BCBG Max Azria summer dress with my Miu Miu inspired Forever 21 heels and vintage porcelain rose earrings. I bought this dress FOUR YEARS AGO and have NEVER worn it. It was always too small for me, but since my weight has gone down I decided to try it on and hope for the best. It fit perfectly and I decided it was just right for the winery setting of the wedding.
This dress has pockets (LOVE) and a cinched waist with a retro 60's inspired neckline. When I purchased it, it felt like something I would've seen Grace Kelly or Audrey Hepburn in.

Pictures in mid sentence are awful, but you're able to see some part of my shoes.
LOL.
This is my girlfriend Robyn, lucky for me she's one of my absolute best friends.
She was so beautiful and hilarious at the wedding & reception.

Me & my little ThumbelTINA.
She looked gorgeous in her romper and red lipstick.

Tiara & I.
I love this girl too. She's been there and back with me and always gives me complete unbiased advice.
She keeps it real and tells me what I need to hear not what I want to.

The lovely bride and groom!

A relative of the bridal party volunteered to make a quilt for Kevin and Alli as a gift.
Each attendant could write on the square of fabric to contribute to this keepsake.
This was ours.
I can't wait to see the finish product of the quilt!
Here's a larger picture of my shoes.
At this point I was beat from the wine and the dance floor.
I love these heels, they were an absolute hit.
They are completely comfortable, the higher the better for me.
Complete bargain from Forever 21!
All in all a day to remember!
One of nothing but love and positivity!
Congrats Alli & Kevin!

XOXO,
Tia

Dressed for the town...

Today was such a beautiful day, I had to venture out and take it all in.
It's been raining alot and was supposed to snow today as well. That's right...SNOW! Snow isn't so easy to come by in your everyday California city. Since there was still a chill in the air I decided to bundle up in wool.

IN LOVE WITH: HERVE LEGER

I worked at BCBGMAXAZRIA for 2 years. Even though I severed ties with the company for personal differences I cannot deny how enamored I am with the clothing. To this day I still pop myself into various BCBG stores and gawk at the tempting beauties on the racks. How I wish I could buy everything! Every season when collection catalogs would come out I drooled over each new Herve Leger dress (which is the highest line for BCBG).Each dress is typically a short, cocktail, bandage dress that is coordinated in a simple yet fresh fashion. Celebrities are addicted to Herve Leger, as they have the means to purchase this line. I don't blame them. There is a signature look to the line and each dress customs itself to your curves. Whenever I enter a BCBG or thrift shop I always hope to find Herve Leger there due to a fluke, but I've had no luck. One day, one day.. I will own one of these beauties.

Graduation day

Hallelujah! Praise the heavens! I am finito! The feeling is surreal and I must admit that I almost succumbed to bursting into tears, but I contained myself. The most fulfilling feeling was seeing my mother proud. We made it! Her and I did it together. We roughed it out for the past 5 years as I changed majors 3 times and we saw the disenegration of our family. With our broken home came many financial dilemmas which caused me to break from college for a year. But I never gave up and neither did she. While my mother has been battling many problems with her identity as a single parent and woman she has never been selfish or uninspiring. That year she vowed to pull funds from her retirement if I promised to finish school. I agreed and despite the many fee hikes during the year she never complained and I trudged along. My mother's support drove me succeed. If at any time I failed or gave up it was a slap in her face. So here we are...accomplished. I carried my tuition myself this year but I couldn't have done it without my mother or the support of my sisters.
